Unfortunately, Steve did not finish the tournament as he would have liked, even though all the pre-signs looked so good! After two perfect and dreamy clear rounds with his Bianca in top form, the hitherto perfect run unfortunately came to a halt in the jump-off, for which only five pairs with a double-clear qualified, and ended up with unusual 12 points. A not ideal distance to jump number 3, a risky ridden Oxer, followed by two more consecutive faults prevented a victory, resulting in finally the 5th place in the Rolex Grand Prix. But with this 5th place together with a 6th place in the Grand Prix of Europe on Wednesday Steve again demonstrated the great regularity of his mare's performances.
In the Nations Cup on Thursday evening it was Hannah who played a major role, because it was she who showed one of only three double clear rounds in this competition and thus secured the 4th place for the Swiss Team, decimated on only 3 couples (Martin Fuchs' horse Chaplin could not compete because of an injury).
Also Alamo mastered his first participation in Aachen very well with a 7th place in the main competition on Saturday, while Flair again impressed in the Youngsters classes, classifying twice and with flawless courses!
