Since Tuesday, the prestigious CHIO Aachen once again brought together the world’s elite in equestrian sport. As every year, more than 300,000 visitors strolled through the beautiful grounds of this iconic venue.
Despite some unpredictable weather, world-class sport and an enthusiastic, large crowd delivered plenty of emotion throughout the week — and once again, Steve managed to make his mark.
In the young horse classes, he made an immediate impact by winning with his 8-year-old Lusso GIHZ, followed by a strong 4th-place finish in the second round.
Albfuehren’s Iashin Sitte remained slightly in the background this time, more in “La Coruña preparation mode” — where she’s expected to shine in ten days' time.
Veinard de Cerisy, returning to competition for the first time since... Geneva, showed top form and placed 6th in a very challenging Grand Prix of North Rhine-Westphalia — with only two clear rounds out of 50 starters and just four faults in the end.
And finally, as the icing on the cake, the queen herself — Dynamix de Belhème — delivered a brilliant 3rd place in Sunday’s Grand Prix. The jump-off wasn’t exactly tailored to her strengths, but she jumped absolutely superbly.
This is the kind of sport we can never get enough of!
