With a double clear round on Albführen’s Iashin Sitte in the Nations Cup, Steve delivered two brilliant performances, once again proving that he’s the undisputed king of team competitions – even after four months of forced rest!
On Saturday, he claimed victory in the prestigious La Baule Derby with his small stallion Easy Star de Talma – a triumph that was rightfully celebrated by the large crowd attending this fantastic four-day event.
Although Steve had already secured several podium finishes in this class, it was his first win – and his beaming smile during the prize-giving ceremony said it all.
Unfortunately, Sunday’s Rolex Grand Prix saw an unusual mishap with Dynamix de Bélhème, who had to retire halfway through the course. A reminder that even the best can have an off day!
