In bright sun and in front of packed grandstands, spectators lining the famous Canadian tournament of Spruce Meadows witnessed outstanding show jumping competitions: In Grand Prix of Calgary, part of the Rolex Grand Slam, Steve finished with Nasa in 8th place in final rankings. In the first round flawlessly, however Steve collecting nine penalty points in the second round with the gray mare. Nevertheless, this is his already the fifth time the Olympic champion scored a classification in one of the Rolex Grand Slam tournaments - a very good constancy!
On Saturday, the Swiss team finished in 5th place in the Nations Cup. Steve, in the saddle of Concetto Son (5 + 9 points), had two small mistakes in the second heavy round.
