Olympic champion Steve Guerdat produced a brilliant performance from the 12-year-old mare, Albfuehren’s Paille de la Roque, to record his second victory at the final World Cup qualifying round in Gothenburg, Sweden. Although the three first-placed couples finished all within one second, Steve galopped with a fresh and very fast round in the jump-off to this victory. While he had secured his qualification already several months ago, Steve finished with this victory also the overall ranking of the World Cup Jumping 2014/2015 Western European League in first place.
In further competitions he reached a 9th place with Concetto Son on Friday (150cm) and with Albführen's Happiness a 3rd place in Saturday's international accumulator with a joker.
Steve will fly tomorrow Tuesday with Nino and NASA to the CSI Doha.
