Corbinian awarded “Horse of the Year 2016"

Steve experienced a day full of emotions at the CSI Zurich on Saturday.
In the early afternoon, Corbinian, with whom Steve won his second World Cup final in Gothenburg, was awarded "Jumping Horse of the Year".

Owner of the year 2016:

1. Sabina Cartossi C.H.C Horses La Fattoria (Corbinian)
3. Elias Stud Farm (Bianca XXXIV)
9. Hofgut Albführen (Albühren's Happiness)

With a moving homage the two successful horses Nino des Buissonnets and Albführen's Paille who both retired from active sport at the end of last year, were also honored in front of de Swiss public.

With Nino Steve was winning individual gold in the 2012 London Olympics, and with the mare Albführen's Paille he won his first World Cup final in Las Vegas in 2015.

Steve thanked his faithful horse owners, who entrusted him with such fantastic horses.

As far as sports is concerned, Steve was quasi-subscribed on 4-point courses this weekend. On Sunday in the World Cup GP Big Red jumped promising, but missed unfortunately the jump-off, because a bar fell at the penultimate obstacle.
 
But now looking ahead at a big week coming-up, as Steve and his team will leave Herrliberg to move into the facilities of the equestrian center in Elgg, whose new owner Steve has recently become.
 
With these few lines Steve also would like to thank Mr. U. Schwarzenbach (owner of Nino des Buissnonnets) and Mr. W. Oberholzer who gave him the opportunity and enabled him to experience for more than 10 years such great sporting moments in the fantastic facilities in Herrliberg.
