This weekend the traditional GCT took place in Valkenswaard, with most of the international riders who only a few hours later would take the flight to Rio to participate in the Olympic Games, that for most of them will start soon on 14 August.
Steve was at the start with Albführen's Happiness and Bianca. After he was classified in 3rd place in the big tour on Friday with Happiness, he had one fault in the GP of Sunday with the mare from Hofgut Albführen. A little less lucky was Bianca in her first participation in the Dutch tournament: On Saturday she committed two faults in the Grand Prix of the Global Champions Tour. The mare jumped good as usual, but is still missing a little bit of experience at this level.
