The most eagerly-awaited event of the CSIO 5* in Dublin, the Nations' Cup, took place in Ireland at the weekend, in bright sunshine and in front of packed stands.
For the first time in forty years, Switzerland won the Aga Khan trophy in Dublin, and with it the sixth and final leg of the European Division of the FEI Nations Cup series.
After their triumphs in St. Gallen, Aachen and Falsterbo, Switzerland dominated the proceedings with a scoreless draw. Steve (Venard de Cerisy) and Martin Fuchs (Leone Jei) both turned in clear rounds, Bryan Balsiger (Chelsea Z) 4 and 0, while Édouard Schmitz and Gamin did not have to restart in the second round (0+NP).
In Sunday's Grand Prix, Steve withdrew after Venard fouled out of the combination.
Albführen's Maddox also placed 5th in a 160cm and 7th in a 145cm.
Picobello van't Roosakker placed 7th and 8th in the 8-year-old GP.
