Steve, who is a part of the Swiss Olympic horse jumping team chose Nino des Buissonnets for the London competition. This is the third Olympics in the rider's career, the previous being 2004 and 2008 competitions. Speaking of performance, Steve came second in the ‘s-Hertogenbosch World Cup riding Nino.
