The Swiss show jumping quartet, led by Steve Guerdat and Martin Fuchs, managed with a total of four penalty points and the 4th place to qualify for the lucrative final of the best eight teams in the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona. The qualifying on Thursday evening was won by a trio with Germany, the USA and Belgium, all remaining ex-aequo with no penalty points.
The foundation for this qualification for the A-final was laid by Guerdat on Corbinian and Fuchs on Clooney, each of them with flawless rounds. Paul Estermann (Lord Pepsi) had one down, and Romain Duguet (Quorida of Trého) the drop score for this round.
