Zurich CSI-W: Steve Guerdat came 8th for the World Cup Grand Prix. Marcus Ehning came first.The 11'500 Hallenstadion spectators were looking forward to witnessing a new Swiss victory after the one Steve Guerdat performed last year and who was particulary motivated this year. An error on the triple resulted in the 8th place which yields 9 World Cup points (for the total of 24) that results in a place in the finals even before the Bordeaux and Vigo legs.
On Sunday Steve Guerdat and Martin Fuchs won the first competition riding "Riot Gun" and "Brustor Boy of Kannan" followed by Rolf Göran Bengtsson and Kai Schäfer who came second and Janika Sprunger and Nina Fagerström who were the third.
On Saturday Steve Guerdat shown the best timing in the two-phase competition riding "Ferrari".
"Trésor" was chosen as the best horse of 2010.
