Despite a brilliant victory with his energetic Is-Minka in the big chase on Saturday, Steve left his Basel weekend feeling somewhat frustrated.
On Friday evening, he unfortunately accumulated 4 penalty points due to a small mistake with Lancelotta in the Grand Prix (finishing 9th in the end), and on Saturday evening, he had to face another minor setback in the tough competition. On Sunday, there were once again 4 frustrating penalty points in the World Cup Grand Prix – luck just wasn’t on his side during this Rhein event.
However, with horses in peak form and Steve back at his best, the outlook for upcoming challenges is much brighter.
