The fourth leg of the FEI World Cup Jumping series at Stuttgart once more presented a very selective course for the strong field of riding champions. Olympic gold medallist Steve Guerdat on his fantastic Nino des Buissonnets settled for runner-up spot for the third time this season.
The Olympic champion is, however, with currently 51 points from the second places in Oslo, Helsinki and now Stuttgart again in the pole position in the World Cup standings and can relax for the remainder of the winter months in the knowledge that he has earned already his place at the FEI World Cup Jumping Final which will take place at Lyon, France next April.
In Stuttgart Steve also had his other promising young horses in action: With Concetto Son he finished with a clear round in the 145m competition on the first day, and in the 150m competition from Saturday got only 4 points. And with Carpalo he finished twice each with only one bar down.
