On Saturday, September 10th, Switzerland claimed the prestigious Nations Cup at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, beating out in a thrilling jump off the defending champions, Team Brazil, and the host nation of Canada taking bronze. The Swiss team consisted of Werner Muff, Alain Jufer, Nadja Peter Steiner, and anchor rider Steve Guerdat. This victory was the first ever for Team Switzerland at Spruce Meadows since the founding of the tournament in 1975.
On Sunday in the Rolex Grand Slam Steve missed the 2nd round by one pole, at the end he had two faults with Corbinian, who was a little lax.
Alführen's Happiness, which already won the opening competition, was again 2nd on Saturday in one of the big competitions with jump-off.
