Steve succeded a good first round with Corbinian with only one down on the third obstacle, in the second round, however, the stallion refused at the water what he never did before. On the second attempt he remained clear at the water, but then again refused, and Steve gave up. What a disappointment for the Swiss Olympic Champion, who was so relieved to be able to start again in competitions, and placed so well 3rd with Albführen's Memphis the day before in the Derby and was classified and flawless in the opening competition in 7th place.
With Rank 3 in Dublin (Liebherr/Eagle Eye, 0+1, Guerdat/Corbinian, 4+EL, Smits/Copain du Perchet, 4+4, Rutschi/Windsor, RT+0), Switzerland finished the qualification for the finals in FEI Nations Cup in Barcelona on the very good second place.
On Sunday in the GP, Steve with Concetto Son had two down and 8 points in the first round.
