New triumph for Steve and Nino
For the first time since the Olympic Games, every best riders and horses of the world were in the running in the same event in Rio de Janeiro on October 6th for the Athina Onassis Horse Show. Two months after London, the Olympic champions Steve Guerdat and Nino des Buissonnets triumphed again. They made two clear rounds (twice 16 efforts=32) in this Grand Prix OI. Four couples were qualified for the jump-off (7 efforts) and again, Steve with an imperial Nino rode a clear and fast round. At the end of the course : the victory for the London Gold Medalist.

Steve Guerdat N°1?
It is possible that Steve Guerdat, 3rd in the Rolex Rankings of October, becomes for the first time N°1 in the world in November, because he has few results to erase this month and he will have won many points with this GP (400'000 CHF for the winner). It will still depends of the results of the World cup Rolex FEI legs in Oslo and in Helsinki, but it is more than possible.
