This Wednesday, August 8, has proved to be a memorable date, when Steve Guerdat became an Olympic champion. Riding the phenomenal Nino des Buissonnets, the rider was the single individual to secure two clear legs in the individual Olympics finals taking place in Greenwich Park. He has scored the gold medal and made a substantial landmark in the Swiss equestrian history. The previous Swiss rider to achieve this was Alphonse Gemuseus in 1924.
