In bright sunshine and in front of an impressive audience, the Swiss quartet with Werner Muff (4 and 11 points), Paul Estermann (0 and 4), Alain Jufer (1 and 0) and Steve (Hannah 8 and 0) had a total of nine penalty points and finished in third place, two points behind the Brazilians and one point behind the Dutch team.
In the morning, Steve finished fourth with Venard de Cerisy, after he jumped already in 3rd place in the spectacular Derby the day before, with just a slight touch at obstacle No 16 - without that fault he would have even won!
