An unfortunate fault in the speed and handiness class, followed by an unusual misunderstanding in the second final competition, destroyed Steve's hopes in this 40th FEI final.
And yet he rehabilitated with two fantastic flawless rounds in the Grand Prix on Sunday and secured the victory of this third final competition, ex-aequo with the American Devin Ryan, who also remained without faults.
In the end, Steve finished in 10th place and thus preserved his status of a Top 10 classification in his 11th final participation. This year's World Cup Final in Paris was won by the American Beezie Madden.
Also noteworthy of course are the 1st and 2nd place of Alamo, who jumped brilliantly in the two competitions of the CSI, taking place in parallel.
