Good results in London
A few days before Christmas, Steve took part in the CSI-W of London. He rode these three greys Nasa, Chips and Clair II who all realized beautiful courses and good results. In the Rolex FEI World Cup Grand Prix, 7th stage of the circuit, a little fault deprived Steve and Nasa of the jump-off. Both were 11th on Sunday in the Grand Prix of the city of London. Chips was twice 9th, Clair II 5th and 11th.
In his return of London, Steve spent time with his family for Christmas before leaving for the CSI-W of Mechelen.
Steve 5th of the World Cup Grand Prix in Mechelen
Last competition of year 2012, Mechelen welcomed the best riders of the world from 26 till 30 December for the 8th round of the circuit of the Rolex FEI World Cup. Steve was qualified for the jump-off in the World Cup Grand Prix with Nasa. He was clear once again in this second round and he took a good 5th place. He scored important points for the qualification for the Rolex FEI World Cup Final which will quarrel at the end of April in Gothenburg.
Steve was also 2nd of the Master's on Saturday evening with Chips VI, already 3rd and double clear of the class counting for the Rolex Rankings on Thursday. He was also 7th of the opening with Clair II.
Steve rider of the year 2012
A new award for Steve. Steve won the 2012 Noellefloyd.com Rider of the Year 2012. It was a unanimous decision by the jury which was composed of international riders, grooms, owners and major figure heads in equestrian sport.
Heidi Mulari groom of the year 2012
For 7 years, Heidi Mulari is a dominant figure of the team Guerdat. She is the groom of Steve. She takes care of his horses brilliantly and without her nothing would be possible. Noellefloyd.com has elected Heidi as Groom of the year 2012.
If you are on the international circuit you will know the name of Heidi Mulari very well. She has seen the Swiss rider through his World Cup 3rd place in Las Vegas in 2007 riding Tresor, his Team Gold medal at the European Championships in 2009 in Windsor riding Jalisca Solier as well as his Individual Gold medal this summer at the 2012 Olympic Games in London riding Nino des Buissonnets.
